Job Description / Responsibility
- Coordinate end-to-end NPD activities, ensuring timely execution from product concept to commercial launch.
- Collaborate with Marketing and relevant departments to define product requirements, specifications and development objectives.
- Ensure completion and approval of product specifications, technical documents and other required NPD documentation.
- Identify, evaluate and coordinate with suitable suppliers for new product development, samples, materials and technical support.
- Coordinate sample development, prototype evaluation, modifications and final product approval.
- Follow up on product testing, quality assessments, compliance requirements and necessary certifications.
- Coordinate product costing, Bill of Materials (BOM), raw materials, packaging and other development requirements.
- Monitor NPD project timelines, track milestones and follow up with suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet target dates.
- Coordinate prototype trials, pilot production and pre-production activities to ensure readiness for mass production.
- Work with relevant departments to identify and resolve technical, quality, material and initial production issues.
- Monitor newly launched products, collect performance feedback and coordinate corrective and improvement actions.
- Maintain NPD project trackers, supplier records, development documents and periodic progress reports for management review.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 4 to 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Electric Wire/Cable, Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances
Additional Job Requirements
- Relevant experience in New Product Development, Product Operations, Engineering, Procurement or Manufacturing Operations. (Home Appliances/Electrical and Accessories/Pump and Tools)
- Preferred experience: Experience in supplier coordination, product costing, BOM, sample development, product testing and pilot production.
- Technical Proficiency: Good command of Microsoft Office and ERP-based operational processes.
- Additional Requirements: Strong communication, coordination, analytical and project management skills.
