Junior Web Developer - IT Executive

Job Description / Responsibility
- Position Overview
- Planet IT is looking for a motivated and responsible IT Executive & Junior Web Developer to support website development, maintenance, digital operations, and day-to-day technical requirements across the organization and its sister concerns.
- This role covers three related but distinct areas of work: core IT and web operations, and supporting digital/marketing tasks. Strength across all areas is a plus, not a requirement — core IT and web support is the priority.
- Key Responsibilities
- Core — IT & Web Operations:
- Maintain, update, and troubleshoot websites and web applications.
- Develop and modify web pages, forms, reports, dashboards, and basic modules using PHP/Laravel, HTML, CSS,JavaScript, Bootstrap, and MySQL.
- Support API and third-party service integrations.
- Maintain portals, dashboards, and internal web-based systems.
- Assist with hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, backups, databases, deployment, and migration.
- Monitor issues, provide timely support, and escalate complex technical matters when required.
- Supporting — Digital & Marketing:
- Support basic SEO activities, including on-page optimization, keyword implementation, meta tags, content optimization, and website SEO monitoring.
- Assist with social media management, including content updates, basic page management, posting, and monitoring digital engagement.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support website, SEO, social media, and other digital requirements.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field
- Fresh graduates with relevant practical/project experience are encouraged to apply.
Experience Requirements
- At most 2 years

Additional Job Requirements
- Required Skills:
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of PHP; Laravel is preferred.
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and responsive design.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL/database management.
- Basic understanding of SEO, social media platforms, and digital marketing practices.
- Basic knowledge of cPanel or similar hosting platforms.
- Familiarity with Git/version control is an advantage.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar is an advantage.
- Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Good documentation, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility.
