Job Description / Responsibility
- A well-established Japan-based multinational company with extensive experience in logistics, transportation and mobility-related services.
- The Group operates across multiple Asian markets and has a broad portfolio covering transportation, warehousing, international logistics, customs clearance, freight forwarding, distribution and related supply-chain services. The company is now preparing to establish and develop its business presence in Bangladesh and is looking for a senior professional who can take a leading role in building and managing the local operation.
- Position Overview
- We are looking for an experienced Country Manager who will act as a key local representative and the right-hand person to Japanese management.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the establishment of the Bangladesh entity, coordinating with local stakeholders, assisting Japanese expatriates, managing day-to-day operations, and contributing to business development.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a senior professional who wants to take ownership of a new business operation and grow with the company toward a future General Manager-level position.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the establishment of the Bangladesh entity.
- Support company registration, bank account opening and related administrative procedures.
- Coordinate with local consultants, professional service providers and relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with Japanese management during the business setup phase.
- Prepare, develop and translate operational manuals in coordination with the Japanese side.
- Act as a primary contact for customer inquiries and provide appropriate support.
- Support interpretation and translation between Japanese and local teams.
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day local business operations.
- Support the operation and development of the company`s mobility/rental-car related business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and business partners.
- Identify business opportunities and support sales and business development activities.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding and management of local employees.
- Handle labour, general affairs and administrative matters.
- Ensure smooth communication between Japanese expatriates, local employees and external stakeholders.
- Report business and operational matters to Japanese management / Head Office.
- Proactively identify problems and propose practical solutions rather than waiting for instructions.
- Perform other responsibilities necessary for establishing and growing the Bangladesh operation.

- Experience Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional work experience.Strong experience in management, business operations, business development, administration or a related field.
- Experience in the car rental, transportation, logistics, mobility or related industry will be highly preferred.
- Previous experience working with a Japanese company will be an advantage.
- Experience working or studying in Japan will be an advantage.
- Experience in company establishment / new business setup will be an advantage.
- Previous team management experience is preferred.
- Sales and business development experience will be an advantage.
- Language Requirements Japanese:
- Minimum JLPT N3 required.
- Candidates with JLPT N2 or higher will be strongly preferred.Must be capable of communicating naturally with Japanese management in a professional environment.
- Ability to report, consult, explain and coordinate matters in Japanese.
- Business-level English communication skills required.
