Job Description / Responsibility

- Assistant Manager- Chartering:
- 1. Chartering & Commercial Excellence
- Lead end-to-end vessel chartering, cargo sourcing, freight booking, and commercial negotiations.
- Secure competitive charter agreements to maximize revenue and profitability.
- 2. Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning
- Analyze freight markets, shipping trends, and macroeconomic factors to identify business opportunities.
- Benchmark charter hire and freight rates against the Baltic Dry Index (BDI).
- Support the development and execution of chartering strategies.
- 3. Vessel Operations & Bunkering
- Ensure efficient vessel deployment, logistics planning, and operational coordination.
- Manage bunker requisitions, RFQs, supplier negotiations, and contract administration.
- Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- 4. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, brokers, clients, and business partners.
- Ensure effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- 5. Contractual Compliance & Risk Management
- Coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure contractual accuracy and compliance.
- Support effective management of commercial risks and contractual obligations.
- 6. Sustainability & Environmental Responsibility
- Promote sustainable shipping practices and responsible commercial operations in line with organizational objectives.
