Job Description / Responsibility

Typing blood by identifying ABO groups and Rh factors.
Screening donor blood for infectious diseases like HIV, Hepatitis, and Syphilis.
Performing cross-matching tests to ensure compatibility between patient and donor blood.
Processing blood products into components like red cells, plasma, and platelets.
Managing inventory to ensure adequate supply and prevent expiration of blood products.
Maintaining equipment by calibrating and monitoring refrigerators, centrifuges, and analyzers.
Documenting records accurately for all tests, donor details, and transfusions to meet regulatory standards.
Investigating transfusion reactions to determine causes and prevent future adverse events.
