Job Description / Responsibility

Prepare and cook food according to the hotel standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
Take responsibility for the assigned kitchen section and ensure smooth daily operations.
Maintain consistent food quality, taste, portion size, and presentation.
Ensure proper mise end place is completed before service.
Monitor food preparation, cooking, and storage according to food safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned work area, equipment, and utensils.
Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
Coordinate with the Sous Chef and other kitchen team members during service.
Assist in menu preparation, new dish development, and daily specials when required.
Control food wastage and ensure proper portion control.
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper food storage procedures.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damaged items to the Head Chef.
Ensure all equipment is used safely and properly.
Train and guide Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff as required.
Follow hotel policies, HACCP/food safety procedures, and occupational health and safety requirements.
Maintain discipline, teamwork, and professional behavior within the kitchen.
Assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef with any additional duties related to kitchen operations.
Ensure the assigned section is properly handed over at the end of each shift.

Bachelor/Honors

Experience Requirements

4 to 6 years
