Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context:
- We are looking for a motivated and responsible Jr. Executive / Executive – Compliance to support the HR, Admin & Compliance function of our garments factory. The role will be responsible for monitoring workplace compliance, maintaining documentation, conducting inspections, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with applicable legal and buyer requirements.
- Responsibilities:
- Monitor factory compliance with labour law, rules, and buyer requirements.
- Conduct regular compliance inspections and identify non-compliance issues.
- Maintain and update compliance records, registers, reports, and documents.
- Support preparation for customer, social, ethical, and regulatory audits.
- Follow up on audit findings and corrective action plans (CAP).
- Monitor working hours, leave, attendance, wages, benefits, and other labour-related compliance matters.
- Ensure proper implementation of HR policies, workplace procedures, and employee welfare requirements.
- Support worker interviews, grievance handling, and worker awareness activities.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve compliance-related issues.
- Assist in preparing monthly compliance reports and management updates.
- Prepare and coordinate social compliance audits (BSCI, RSC, SEDEX, WRAP, etc.).
- Maintain proper documentation for DIFE, Fire Service, RSC, and buyer requirements, as applicable.
- Perform other compliance-related duties assigned by management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management, Management
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, Law, Social Science, or a relevant discipline.
- Training/certification in Social Compliance, Labour Law, or HR Compliance will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 2 to 4 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Architecture Firm, Garments, Garments Accessories, Group of Companies
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At most 30 years
- Good knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006, Bangladesh Labour Rules, 2015, and applicable amendments.
- Knowledge of social, ethical, health & safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with BSCI, SMETA/SEDEX, WRAP, SA8000, RSC, and buyer-specific compliance standards will be an advantage.
- Experience in supporting social compliance and customer audits.
- Good communication, interpersonal, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Good command of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments.
