Job Description / Responsibility

Karnaphuli Group, one of the most renowned and long-standing business conglomerates in Bangladesh operating since 1954, is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and self-driven Legal Officer for its Mahindra Tractor Division and Swaraj Tractor Division to support the continuous growth of our agricultural machinery divisions.
Job Responsibilities:
Contract, negotiation and review (e.g., ensuring that contracts between company, employees, customers and other parties are written in accordance with company`s aspiration and not detriment to company`s interests.) Negotiate contracts, larger transactions and deal with arbitration of cases.
Risk management and compliance (e.g., assessing whether the company`s business processes, products and policies comply with pertinent regulations and determining the degree to which such compliance is necessary
In case of lawsuits, tracking files for conducting research, factual investigation, preparing legal documents, reviewing and organizing case files, assisting with depositions, preparing cases for trial, interviewing and communicating with departments, witnesses etc.
Issue or answer the legal notices, review and legal advice on contract, MOU and tender documents and if necessary, deal and liaison with Police and other law enforcing agencies of the Government.
Deal such other legal matters as may be assigned.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Law (LLB)
Master of Law (LLM)

Experience Requirements

2 to 3 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies

Additional Job Requirements

Age 28 to 35 years
Excellent interpersonal skill, communication ability, energetic and confident.
Good command in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Office Outlook & Internet.
Good command in English & Bangla as well as legal drafting.
Enrolled as a member of Bangladesh Bar Council.
