Job Description / Responsibility
- About the Role
- The Business Head will be responsible for leading the overall business and workshop operations of Imperial Automobiles Limited, a concern of Doreen Group. The role will focus on driving profitability, business growth, customer acquisition and retention, corporate sales, workshop efficiency, service quality, procurement, inventory management, vendor relationships, and overall operational excellence.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Business & Financial Management: Drive overall business performance, revenue, profitability, cost control, budgeting, pricing strategy, and business targets.
- Business Development: Develop strategies to grow the customer base, market share, new business opportunities, and service offerings.
- Corporate Sales & Client Acquisition: Build relationships with corporate clients, fleet owners, and institutions; lead corporate sales and client acquisition.
- Workshop Operations: Oversee workshop operations, manpower, equipment, productivity, service quality, and turnaround time.
- Service Quality & Customer Experience: Ensure quality and timely vehicle servicing, effective after-sales service, complaint resolution, and customer retention.
- Procurement & Inventory: Manage procurement of spare parts, tools, and other consumables while ensuring optimum stock levels and cost efficiency.
- Vendor Management: Manage supplier and vendor relationships, including pricing, quality, payment terms, and delivery.
- Transport Operations: Oversee vehicle safety, maintenance, trip scheduling, fuel consumption, fleet efficiency, and driver recruitment, training, and performance.
- Regulatory Compliance & Government Liaison: Ensure compliance with registration, fitness, route permits, taxation, insurance, and other requirements; liaise with BRTA, Police, and relevant authorities.
- Process & Operational Improvement: Implement SOPs, controls, and performance measures to improve efficiency and minimize operational costs.
- Business Analytics & Reporting: Monitor sales, profitability, customer acquisition, workshop performance, inventory, procurement, and transport KPIs; take corrective actions as required.
- Strategic Leadership: Work with management to execute short- and long-term strategies for sustainable business growth and profitability.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing
Experience Requirements
- At least 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Automobile, Motor Workshop
Additional Job Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in the automobile industry, with strong exposure to business management, business development, workshop/service operations, and corporate sales.
- Hands-on experience in automotive workshop/service operations.
- Proven track record in P&L management and leading cross-functional teams will be preferred.
- Strong expertise in business development, corporate sales, and customer relationship management.
- Experience in procurement, inventory management, and vendor negotiation.
- Strong analytical, financial, operational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Strategic, target-oriented, and commercially driven mindset.
