Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context
- AFOUR is building Bangladesh`s first authorized luxury beauty destination. We hold direct appointments with international brands, import and register them properly, and will sell them through a retail experience the country has not had before. We launch in early 2027, and we raise shortly after.We are looking for the person who will own the numbers underneath all of it. This is a founding seat, reporting directly to the founder. In your first quarter, you will build the landed-cost model for a substantial first import, structure VAT and tax across four entities in two jurisdictions, and work alongside the founders to put an LC facility in place. In your second quarter, you will build the financials and the data room for our raise. You will do this as the entire finance function initially, building your team afterward.
- Responsibilities
- Landed-Cost Modeling: Own import and landed-cost economics down to the individual SKU level—including customs, duty, VAT, freight, and registration costs.
- Corporate & Tax Architecture: Design and manage entity and tax architecture across our Bangladesh and UAE companies, including handling intercompany transactions and transfer-pricing positions.
- Trade Finance: Manage trade finance operations, including letters of credit (LCs), banking relationships, and FX planning across the entire import cycle.
- Fundraising Support: Build investor-ready financial models, manage the data room, and drive the analytical modeling behind our upcoming investment raise.
- Financial Reporting: Deliver consolidated monthly management accounts that accurately reconcile to actual business performance.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance
- Professional qualification is mandatory: ICAB, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
- 8 to 15 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Logistic/Courier/Air Express Companies, Textile, Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Real Estate, Group of Companies, Plastic/ Polymer Industry, Cement
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 25 to 45 years
- Advanced Modeling Skills: You build your own financial models from scratch.
- You open the file and work directly in it yourself.
- Autonomous Operator: Comfortable acting as the entire finance function for a while without needing a department around you to be effective.
- Preferred (Not Required): Experience with multi-entity or cross-border consolidation and transfer pricing.
- Professional background in the consumer, retail, or distribution sectors.Familiarity with Islamic finance structures.
