Job Description / Responsibility

Job Context
The Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding will be responsible for developing new customers and expanding business with existing clients within the logistics and freight forwarding sector. The role requires regular communication with importers, exporters, manufacturers, traders, and other businesses that require international and domestic transportation solutions.
The position involves a combination of field sales, client relationship management, business development, quotation preparation, negotiation, and coordination with internal operations teams.
Job Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain services.
Generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking, referrals, and client visits.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Understand clients’ import, export, air freight, sea freight, land transport, customs clearance, and logistics requirements.
Prepare and submit competitive quotations, proposals, and service agreements.
Coordinate with operations and documentation teams to ensure smooth execution of customer shipments.
Follow up on quotations, inquiries, and pending business opportunities to convert leads into sales.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, freight rates, and customer requirements.
Negotiate rates and commercial terms with customers while maintaining company profitability.
Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, quotations, and sales activities in the company’s CRM or reporting system.
Handle customer complaints and coordinate internally to resolve service-related issues.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates for management.
