Job Description / Responsibility
- Develop and execute monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer delivery schedules and factory capacity.
- Prepare and monitor Time & Action (T&A) calendars for all confirmed orders and ensure milestone achievement.
- Plan factory capacity by considering manpower, machine availability, production efficiency, and style complexity.
- Allocate production orders to sewing lines and production units to maximize capacity utilization and balance workloads.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Industrial Engineering, Production, Quality, Commercial, Procurement, Warehouse, and Maintenance to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor material readiness (fabric, trims, accessories, and packing materials) to avoid production interruptions.
- Review daily production performance against the plan and implement corrective actions to recover delays.
- Identify production risks, capacity constraints, and shipment challenges, and develop effective recovery plans.
- Ensure all customer orders are completed and shipped within the committed delivery schedule.
- Optimize Work-in-Progress (WIP) levels throughout Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, and Packing to maintain smooth workflow.
- Conduct daily and weekly planning meetings with relevant departments to review order status and production progress.
- Monitor production efficiency, line loading, capacity utilization, and schedule adherence, and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly planning, production, and shipment reports to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, reduce lead time, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Lead and develop the Planning team by providing coaching, performance management, and technical guidance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, buyer requirements, and industry standards throughout the planning process.
- Perform any other planning-related responsibilities assigned by management.
- Overall Responsible for Production (Sewing) Department
- Responsible for daily production and work to achieve production target with buyer required quality standard.
- Strictly follow up hourly production and work for increasing productivity.
- Monitoring Sewing and finishing FPY & Efficiency to achieve highest quality & productivity.
- Increasing production and ensure maximum utilization of resources and minimizing unnecessary cost.
- To monitor and control materials, equipment and accessories in sewing and Iron section to be ready for daily operation.
- Monitor sewing and finishing production and ensure minimum utilization of man, machine and material in the sewing section.
- Checking whether technical information are conveyed properly to route level in case of both new layout and any style changes.
- Keep liaison with Cutting, QAD, IED, PPC, MCD, WHS, VAP, Merchandising and team for smooth sewing and finishing production.
- Supervising, leading and managing production process and employees to guide them for higher productivity along with keeping good relations with all staffs and sewer to ensure attendance.
- To ensure Sewing Section’s discipline and 6S requirement.
