Job Description / Responsibility
- Omnichannel Data Architecture: Design and maintain unified data architecture across Shopify, WhatsApp concierge, warehouse/inventory, and finance systems to ensure a single system of record.
- Launch Foundation Setup: Define and structure customer, consent, order, SKU, margin, return, and behavioral fields with clear ownership, purposes, and retention rules.
- Retention & Lifecycle Analytics: Build rule-based (and later predictive) analytics models covering product depletion windows, reorder forecasting, and customer cohort behavior.
- Self-Service Dashboards: Develop functional KPIs and dashboards for e-commerce, WhatsApp concierge, warehouse, and finance leads so teams can independently act on their numbers.
- Data Governance & Privacy: Implement robust access controls, consent tracking, and suppression rules for sensitive customer details (e.g., returns, skin reactions, and adverse experiences).
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a highly analytical discipline. (Equivalent deep practical infrastructure-building experience will be valued over specific degrees).
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), IT Enabled Service
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 25 to 45 years
- Data Modeling Fluency: Expert understanding of customer, order, and behavioural data models, with the ability to cleanly differentiate between observed results, inferences, and projections.
- User-Centric Design: Ability to design dashboards tailored strictly for the cross-functional business users who rely on them daily.Autonomous Operator: Highly comfortable operating as the entire data function at the start, including setting up pipelines manually before scaling a team.
- Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience handling WhatsApp Business API data or conversational-commerce analytics.Familiarity with retention/lifecycle tooling (Klaviyo or equivalent) in a Cash-on-Delivery (COD) or emerging market context.Prior work in beauty, fashion, or another consultative-purchase consumer category.
- Experience Requirements· At least 5 to 8 year(s) of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or business intelligence.
- Proven Track Record: Must have experience building a data function from a handful of disconnected tools rather than simply inheriting a mature corporate data stack.
- Platform Experience: Hands-on experience working with Shopify or a comparable e-commerce platform, including a deep understanding of how custom themes and app stacks impact tracking and event data.
