Job Description / Responsibility
- Fabric Sourcing & Procurement
- Collect fabric requirements from Merchandising and Product Development teams.
- Request, compare, and evaluate supplier quotations and lead negotiations within defined limits.
- Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (PO) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Follow up with suppliers for sample yardages, bulk yardages, lab dips, and approvals.
- Supplier Coordination & Relationship Management
- Maintain strong professional communication with fabric mills and suppliers.
- Track and monitor supplier performance regarding quality, lead time, and service compliance.
- Assist in onboarding new fabric suppliers when needed.
- Fabric Tracking & Follow-Up
- Monitor end-to-end fabric flow: booking → approval → production → inspection → delivery → warehouse.
- Update fabric status reports and highlight risks or delays proactively.
- Coordinate with QC, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth inbound process.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/Excel including PO details, delivery status, cost breakdowns, and approvals.
- Prepare weekly/monthly fabric supply reports for internal review.
- Support system updates (ERP/PLM/SCM) related to fabric purchase and stock.
- Cross-Functional Communication
- Work closely with Merchandising, Planning, Commercial, QC, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless workflow.
- Escalate issues regarding fabric delays, quality concerns, or price inconsistencies.
- Compliance & Cost Control
- Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities adhere to company SOPs and compliance standards.
- Assist in cost analysis and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Buying House, Garments, Garments Accessories, Group of Companies, Washing Factory
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 25 to 38 years
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fabric types (Woven/Denim), construction and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and documentation.
- Basic understanding of incoterms, import procedures, and logistics (preferred).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication & coordination ability.
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
