Assistant Manager - Sewing Machine Maintenance

Job Description / Responsibility

Lead mechanical maintenance activities for sewing machines across all production floors.
Ensure machine readiness during Development Risk Assessment (DRA), Product Development (PD), Pre-Production (PP), and Changeover (CO) stages.
Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
Manage machine uptime and minimize production interruptions
Oversee the Maintain i8 maintenance management system and ensure accurate maintenance records.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for machine-related quality defects and breakdowns.
Control spare parts, consumables, oil, attachments, and maintenance budgets
Implement effective needle management and compliance procedures.
Lead and develop mechanics, attachment makers, and maintenance support teams.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety, buyer requirements, and factory regulations.
Support production efficiency through timely machine setup and changeovers

Educational Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering
HSC
Manufacturer training (Juki, Brother, Pegasus, Kansai, Siruba, Jack, Zoje) is a strong advantage.

Experience Requirements

At least 8 years
