Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context:
- AKH Knitting & Dyeing Ltd is a 100% export-oriented company and it’s a sister concern of AKH group. We are looking 02 (two) Assistant Merchandiser who supports the merchandising team in managing orders from development stage to final shipment. He should involves coordinating with buyers, production, planning, sourcing, knitting, dyeing, finishing, quality, and commercial departments to ensure timely execution of orders while maintaining required quality and cost targets.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Merchandisers in handling customer orders and follow-up activities.
- Prepare order sheets, T&A (Time and Action) calendars, and order status reports.
- Monitor order progress from sample development to shipment.
- Ensure all order information is updated accurately in the ERP/system.
- Coordinate development, fit, size-set, pre -production (PP), and shipment samples.
- Follow up with sample section to ensure timely sample submission.
- Maintain sample records and buyer comments.
- Track fabric, yarn, trims, accessories, and packaging material requirements.
- Coordinate with sourcing and procurement teams for material availability.
- Monitor approval status of fabrics, trims, lab dips, and accessories.
- Liaise with knitting, dyeing, finishing, cutting, sewing, and packing departments.
- Follow production schedules and update the merchandising team regularly.
- Identify potential delays and communicate corrective actions.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for buyers.
- Assist in responding to buyer inquiries regarding sample and order status.
- Ensure buyer requirements and specifications are communicated internally.
- Maintain order files, purchase orders, BOM (Bill of Materials), and costing sheets.
- Prepare weekly order tracking and shipment status reports.
- Support commercial documentation related to export shipments.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams regarding quality standards and inspections.
- Monitor corrective actions for quality issues.
- Ensure customer compliance requirements are followed throughout production.
- Follow-up shipment schedules with commercial and logistics departments.
- Ensure packing details, carton markings, and shipping instructions are correct.
- Assist in achieving on-time delivery performance.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor`s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Technology, Fashion Design, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- 1 to 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Buying House, Group of Companies, Dyeing Factory
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 25 to 32 years
- Knowledge of knit garments manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of fabric sourcing, dyeing, finishing, and garment production.
- Familiarity with merchandising procedures and T&A management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
