- Position Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the company’s accounting and finance functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, business analysis, cash-flow management, tax and VAT compliance, regulatory monitoring, and providing practical financial advice to senior management.
- Location: Chattogram EPZ, Chattogram
- Reports To: Managing Director/ Senior Management
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, including FOB-based profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash-flow reports.
- Analyze financial statements, budgets and actual performance, and explain key variances to management.
- Prepare product, order, customer, production and cost-profitability analysis.
- Prepare cash-flow forecasts, budgets, payment plans and working-capital reports.
- Monitor inventory, WIP, finished goods, production costs and stock reconciliation.
- Track and interpret relevant NBR tax and VAT laws, SROs and circulars, Bangladesh Bank foreign-exchange and export-proceeds regulations, customs requirements, and BEPZA/CEPZ policies.
- Prepare concise policy updates, assess their financial impact and recommend appropriate actions to management.
- Provide financial advice on cost control, pricing, investment, procurement, cash management and business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax, VAT and statutory requirements.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
- Maintain effective internal controls, financial records and risk-management procedures.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, NBR, Bangladesh Bank, BEPZA and other relevant authorities.
- Lead, supervise and develop the accounts and finance team.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, BBA or a related discipline.
- CA/ACCA/ICMA partly qualified will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
Additional Job Requirements
- Experience: 5 to 10 years’ Managerial experience in Accounting and Taxations, Accounts and audit, Accounts and Finance
- 5–10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in garment manufacturing, export-oriented business or EPZ operations is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, budgeting, costing, cash-flow management, taxation and VAT.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bangla.
- Ability to explain financial information clearly and provide practical recommendations to senior management.
- High integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
