Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context
- We are a leading construction and engineering company engaged in large-scale Building and Road Construction projects across Government and Private sectors in Bangladesh. We are looking for a highly experienced, strategic, and result-oriented professional for the position of Director (Operations).
- The incumbent will be responsible for leading and overseeing all operational activities related to ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring timely completion, quality compliance, cost efficiency, and optimum utilization of resources. The position requires extensive experience in managing large infrastructure projects, handling government procurement processes, and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

- Job Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the successful execution of building and road construction projects from planning to final handover.
- Oversee project operations, site management, logistics, supply chain, procurement, and resource allocation to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
- Maintain effective liaison with government organizations, regulatory authorities, consultants, and private sector clients.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders including MES, LGED, PWD, EED, City Corporations, and other relevant agencies.
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across all project sites.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate Project Managers, Engineers, and other operational teams to achieve organizational objectives.
- Identify project risks, operational bottlenecks, contractual issues, and delays; develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress through appropriate reporting systems and ensure timely decision-making.
- Support business growth through effective project execution and client relationship management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering
- Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology students will get preference
- MBA, Master's in Project Management, or equivalent higher qualification will be considered an added advantage.

Additional Job Requirements
- Age 42 to 55 years
- Only Male
- Extensive working knowledge of Government of Bangladesh (GOB) funded projects (e.g., PWD, LGED, RHD, EED, BIWTA, BWDB).
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role such as General Manager (Operations), Project Director, Head of Operations, or equivalent position.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale building construction and highway/road infrastructure projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in Government Procurement, e-GP procedures, tender management, contract administration, and project execution.
- Experience in handling multiple project sites simultaneously will be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of modern construction techniques, construction materials, and heavy equipment management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound understanding of project planning and monitoring tools such as MS Project and Primavera P6.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.
