Job Description / Responsibility

Verifies patient identification and explains sampling procedures to patients.
Facilitate the collection, processing, handling, and shipping of urine and fluid specimens.
Preparing specimens for laboratory testing and performing screening procedures.
Obtains blood specimens by proper procedure.
Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Maintains an organized and clean workspace.
Follow policies and procedures to help correctly identify the patient’s specimen through an accurate barcode.
Follow policies and procedures to properly package and ship specimens to the lab.
Pick-up, package, and ship specimens when needed.

Educational Requirements

Diploma in Medical Technology in Laboratory Medicine

Experience Requirements

3 to 7 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital, Diagnostic Centre
