Job Description / Responsibility
- Masala Bazaar Retails Ltd. is looking for a dynamic and experienced Manager, Expansion to lead the company`s expansion initiatives and support its business growth. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, evaluating potential locations, managing outlet expansion projects, and ensuring timely execution of expansion plans while maintaining quality, budget, and compliance standards.
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement expansion strategies aligned with the company`s growth objectives.
- Identify suitable locations for new outlets, warehouses, and business operations.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies for expansion projects.
- Evaluate commercial viability and prepare business proposals for management approval.
- Coordinate site selection, lease negotiations, and rental agreements with landlords.
- Liaise with government authorities, consultants, developers, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, HR, IT, and Marketing teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare and monitor expansion project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Ensure all legal, regulatory, licensing, and compliance requirements are completed before opening new locations.
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and expansion records.
- Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for management.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, business partners, and vendors.
- Ensure expansion projects meet company standards for quality, cost, and schedule.
- Lead and supervise the expansion team and provide guidance to achieve departmental objectives.
- Support new store openings and coordinate pre-opening activities.
- Perform any other expansion or business development responsibilities assigned by Management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
- MBA will be considered an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): IT Enabled Service, Garments, Shrimp, Chain shop, Food (Packaged), Beverage, Ice Cream, Bakery (Cake, Biscuit, Bread)
