Job Description / Responsibility

Design orthopedic and prosthetic devices, based on physicians’ prescriptions plus examination measurement of patients
Maintain patients’ records
Modify plaster casts of areas that will be fitted with prostheses or orthoses, for use in the device construction process
Select materials components to be used, based on device design
Confer with physicians to formulate specifications prescriptions for orthopedic or prosthetic devices
Repair, rebuild, and modify prosthetic orthopedic appliances
Construct and fabricate appliances or supervise others constructing the appliances
Train and supervise support staff and orthopedic & prosthetic assistant technicians
Update skills as well as knowledge by attending conferences seminars
Show and explain orthopedic prosthetic appliances to healthcare workers
Research new ways to construct as well as use orthopedic prosthetic devices Publish research findings or present them at conferences seminars

Educational Requirements

Diploma in Health Technology and Services
Bachelor of Science (BSc)

Experience Requirements

At least 1 year
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Healthcare/Lifestyle product, Physiotherapy center

Additional Job Requirements

Age 25 to 55 years
Candidates should have Diploma in Prosthetics & Orthotics (ISPO CAT 1 & CAT 2)
Candidates with Bachelor degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO) will be given preference
