Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Summary:
- Medical Officer will support both laboratory and clinical services of Lab Science Diagnostic.
- The position involves laboratory quality assurance, report validation, patient consultation and participation in corporate health programs.
- Necessary orientation and on-the-job training will be provided.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Quality & Technical Support
- Monitor pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical laboratory processes.
- Assist in implementation and monitoring of Internal Quality Control (IQC) activities.
- Support laboratory quality management system (QMS) and accreditation requirements.
- Coordinate with laboratory consultants and technical staff to maintain quality standards.
- Review laboratory records, documentation, and quality indicators.
- Assist in investigation and documentation of non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Report Validation & Clinical Review
- Review laboratory reports for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before release.
- Verify abnormal or critical laboratory findings according to established protocols.
- Coordinate with Consultant Pathologists regarding doubtful or critical reports.
- Ensure timely authorization and release of laboratory reports.
- Clinical Services
- Provide outpatient consultation for selected common medical conditions as assigned.
- Counsel patients regarding laboratory investigations and interpretation of test results.
- Refer patients to specialist consultants whenever indicated.
- Maintain proper clinical documentation and medical records.
- Corporate & Outreach Activities
- Participate in corporate health screening programs, medical camps, and outreach services.
- Conduct health assessments and provide medical consultation during corporate programs.
- Support health education and awareness activities.
- Quality Improvement & Administration
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Prepare periodic reports assigned by management.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the management related to laboratory and clinical services.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
- Valid registration with Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC)
- Fresh MBBS graduates are encouraged to apply.

- Basic knowledge of laboratory medicine and quality assurance.
- Good clinical judgment and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
