Job Description / Responsibility
- The Head of Information Technology will be responsible for leading the Company`s technology strategy, architecture, development, integration, security, and operations to support its payment systems and digital financial services platform. The role requires a seasoned technology leader with deep expertise in payment technologies and financial systems, capable of ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance of mission-critical payment infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with executive management, regulators, financial institutions, technology partners, and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- The Head of IT will provide strategic leadership to the technology function, oversee the complete software development lifecycle, and ensure that all technology initiatives align with the Company`s business objectives and regulatory obligations.
- The individual must be capable of leading high-performing technology teams, managing complex projects, and delivering secure, scalable, and innovative payment solutions in a highly regulated environment.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
- Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Master`s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
- At least 15 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Financial Consultants, Financial Technology (Fintech) Startup
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 40 to 55 years
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Information Technology, Payment Systems, Banking Technology, FinTech, or Digital Financial Services.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably within a PSO, PSP, bank, payment gateway, card switch, or digital financial services organization.
- Strong hands-on experience in banking API integrations, Open Banking frameworks, payment gateway integrations, Bangla QR, NPSB connectivity, payment switching, transaction routing, and interoperability with banking and financial systems.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging standards, payment network operations, transaction authorization, reconciliation, settlement processes, and real-time payment processing.
- Proven experience managing high-availability, mission-critical payment platforms and transaction processing systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, software development lifecycle (SDLC), system integration, cybersecurity, PCI DSS compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary technology teams and manage relationships with regulators, Bangladesh Bank, financial institutions, payment networks, technology vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
