Job Description / Responsibility

- Responsibilities & Context
- As a core member of the executive leadership team, the Sr. GM / Director (Finance) will oversee the entire financial ecosystem of the Group, driving strategic fiscal management, capital optimization, and regulatory compliance.
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the overall financial strategy, corporate planning, and executive reporting for the Group to support long-term local market growth and export expansion.
- Banking & Capital Management: Manage working capital, corporate cash flow, and banking relationships. Spearhead bank loan negotiations, syndication, structured financing, and large-scale project financing or corporate restructuring.
- Risk & Cost Optimization: Formulate robust cost control mechanisms, profitability analysis, and financial discipline to safeguard margins during inflationary pressures. Manage FX risks and global market volatility.
- Trade & International Banking: Oversee international trade finance, structured LC operations, and cross-border transactions. Independently draft high-level financial correspondence and official bank documentation in English.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure absolute compliance with the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Customs, Bangladesh Bank, and BSEC regulations. Direct the preparation and timely submission of statutory returns.
- Audit & Stakeholder Liaison: Manage annual external audits, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors. Maintain strategic institutional relationships with government bodies, banks, insurance companies, and capital market regulators to prepare the Group for future capital market opportunities.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Accounting
- Professional Certification: Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) is mandatory.

- Total Experience: 15 to 20 years of progressive experience in corporate finance.
- Specific Role Experience: Minimum 5 years of active experience in a Sr. GM or Director (Finance) capacity within a publicly listed conglomerate or large export-oriented manufacturing industry.
- Additional Skills & Attributes
- Financial Engineering: Deep expertise in capital structure optimization, financial turnaround management, and investment evaluations for capacity expansion or vertical integration.
- Regulatory Mastery: Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of Bangladesh tax laws, NBR rules, custom duties, and central bank regulations.
- Communication Proficiency: Exceptional bilateral written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla, with a proven track record of handling high-level corporate and banking correspondence.
- Analytical Thinking: Superior problem-solving acumen, critical analytical capabilities, and sharp decision-making skills under market volatility.
