Accounts Officer - Travel Agency (IATA BSP & TRAACS)

Job Description / Responsibility

Manage daily accounting operations for the travel agency, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Handle IATA BSP transactions, billing analysis, remittances, and weekly/monthly BSP reconciliations.
Process and monitor airline ticket sales, refunds, reissues, ADM/ACM transactions, and BSP reports.
Maintain and reconcile TRAACS accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare financial reports, revenue analysis, and management reports on a regular basis.
Monitor cash flow, customer payments, supplier payments, and outstanding balances.
Ensure timely settlement of airline, vendor, and corporate client accounts.
Verify and record travel-related transactions from GDS systems and back-office software.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and IATA regulations.
Coordinate with airlines, travel consultants, and management regarding financial matters.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor/Honors
Certificate in Accounting or Finance.
ERP/Accounting Software Training.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

2 to 6 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Airline, Travel Agent, Immigration/Visa Processing

Additional Job Requirements

Age 25 to 40 years
Hands-on experience with IATA BSP, BSPLink, and TRAACS systems.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in travel agency accounting.
Strong knowledge of IATA BSP procedures and TRAACS software.
