Job Description / Responsibility

Manage and supervise all library operations to ensure efficient services for students, faculty members, and staff.
Develop, organize, classify, and maintain library collections including books, journals, research publications, theses, and digital resources.
Assist students and faculty members in accessing academic, research, and reference materials relevant to nursing, health sciences, and allied disciplines.
Maintain library records, accession registers, cataloging systems, circulation records, and digital databases accurately.
Ensure proper preservation, inventory control, and security of library resources and assets.
Coordinate the acquisition, subscription, and renewal of books, journals, e-books, and other educational resources.
Conduct library orientation and information literacy sessions for newly admitted students and faculty members.
Prepare periodic reports on library activities, resource utilization, and collection development.
Implement and maintain library management software and digital library services.
Ensure a conducive, student-friendly, and academically supportive library environment.
Perform any other duties assigned by the college authority from time to time.

Educational Requirements

Honor’s / Master's Degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS) from a recognized university.

Experience Requirements

2 to 5 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): College

Additional Job Requirements

Sound knowledge of library classification and cataloging systems.
Proficiency in library management software and MS Office applications.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Knowledge of digital library resources and online databases will be an added advantage.
