Job Description / Responsibility
- Q Hotel Dhaka - a concern of Quality Hospitality Limited - is an upcoming Five-Star Hotel along with Multi-Purpose Office Complex with two Independent 20 Storied Towers. With a built-up area of more than 35,000 sqm, the upcoming hotel is located at Purbachal New Town and adjacent to the Purbachal Express Way (300 Feet Road) – The Premium Future Business Hub of the Country.
- Chief Engineer The HOTEL is in pre-opening phase and invites application for the following position:
- The position is a Senior Level Management Position and is a full-time on-site role for Q HOTEL Dhaka. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the Project Management Operation of the hotel in the areas of Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Civil and will work under the direct supervision of the Managing Director of the hotel. Once the hotel is in operation, position purpose is to direct and monitors on-going maintenance programs for all guest rooms, back of the house, public spaces, and equipment to ensure the reliability, safety, and comfort of all guests and staff with the support of the Engineering Team and QHL Management.
- The position requires the person to demonstrate the following expertise:
- Knowledge of local and international regulation like IEE, NEC, BNBC, IBC, ADDC etc.
- Advance knowledge and experience in supervising installation, modification & maintenance of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing works & trouble shooting.
- Adept Technical Budgeting and to ensure Operational Efficiency and Compliance.
- Skilled in People Management, Risk Management and Energy Saving.
- Able to resolve conflicts with guests, supervisors, employees, external vendors, contractors, suppliers, consultants.
- Capable of coordinating with foreign and local project consultants, vendors and suppliers with proper courtesy and maintaining all official decorum and hospitality industry norms.
- Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
- Capable of preparing Engineering SOPs.
- Ability to develop inter-personal relationships within and outside the organization. Good organizational and communication skills.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc)
- B. Sc in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical) from a reputed university.
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 15 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hotel
Additional Job Requirements
- Only Male
- 10-15 years working experience that includes 3-5 years as Chief Engineer.
- Working experience in Hospitality Industry and in particular work experience in Hotel Pre-Opening and Project Management will be given preference.
- Fluent in English – written and spoken.
- Well-Groomed and impressive personality.
- Must have strong working knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
- Advance working knowledge in managing Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing System – especially in the areas of Electrical Sub-Station, Back-Up Generators, HVAC System (Chiller & VRF), Fire Protection & Detection System, Water Management System, Building Management System (BMS), Vertical Transportation System, Surveillance System, PABX System, Kitchen & Laundry Equipment etc.
