Sr. Engineer/ Asst. Manager- Costing & Estimation

Job Description / Responsibility
- Prepare detailed project pre-costing and cost estimates for PEB, Steel Structure, RCC, and Infrastructure projects.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQ, and contract requirements.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) based on approved BOQ, drawings, and project specifications.
- Estimate material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs accurately.
- Develop project schedules, work plans, and Gantt Charts in coordination with relevant departments.
- Prepare budgetary estimates, rate analysis, and project cost comparisons.
- Coordinate with SCM, Design, PID, Production, and Commercial departments during estimation and project planning stages.
- Review and update standard costing databases, material consumption norms, and productivity benchmarks.
- Monitor market prices of construction materials and services for accurate estimation.
- Support management in decision-making through cost-benefit analysis and project feasibility evaluations.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
- Candidates having additional professional training in Project Planning, Primavera, MS Project, Quantity Surveying, or Cost Management will receive preference
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Engineering Firms, Steel
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 30 to 42 years
- Experience in PEB, Steel Structure, Building Construction, or Infrastructure Projects will be highly preferred.
- Candidates with practical experience in BOQ preparation, BOM preparation, rate analysis, and project scheduling will be given priority.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ, BOM, Quantity Take-off, Rate Analysis, and Project Costing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project.
- Sound understanding of construction materials, fabrication processes, and project execution methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
