Job Description / Responsibility
- Purpose of this position
- The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to define the responsibilities, scope, and expected deliverables for the Junior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer role. The Junior SQA Engineer will support the software testing lifecycle by ensuring product quality through systematic testing, defect tracking, and collaboration with development and business teams.
- Scope of Work
- The Junior SQA Engineer will perform the following activities:
- Conduct manual testing for web and mobile applications
- Review business and technical requirements to prepare test scenarios and test cases
- Execute functional, regression, usability, and UI testing
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers to verify bug fixes and perform retesting
- Maintain proper testing documentation, including test reports and defect logs
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and QA discussions
- Assist in improving testing processes and quality standards
- Ensure software releases meet required quality benchmarks before deployment
- Deliverables
- The Junior SQA Engineer is expected to provide:
- Test plans and test cases
- Bug and defect reports
- Test execution reports
- Regression testing documentation
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support documentation
- Final QA sign-off reports before release
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 1 to 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Software Company, IT Enabled Service, Development Agency
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 22 years
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Basic knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies
- Familiarity with web and mobile application testing
- Understanding of bug tracking and test management tools
- Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Jira, Postman, Selenium, or similar QA tools
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Internship or academic project experience in software testing
- Duration and Reporting
- The Junior SQA Engineer will work according to the project timeline and report progress to the SQA Lead. Regular updates regarding testing progress, issues, and risks will be communicated throughout the project lifecycle.
