Job Description / Responsibility

Responsible for sourcing dyes and chemical suppliers and procuring chemicals as per buyer requirements.
Source vendors for new material developments and identify alternative vendors for existing materials. Evaluate vendors based on compliance standards, factory and office audits, and valid certifications before selection. Review vendor performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Enlist prospective vendors and evaluate them through the Supplier Qualification Management (SQM) module of Oracle Fusion Cloud. Focus on continuous improvement and building long-term relationships with both new and existing vendors.
Collect development samples from suppliers, send them to the washing plant for testing, and obtain development results from the washing plant.
Based on test reports, procure chemicals and complete all procurement formalities, including Comparative Statement (CS) preparation and LC opening procedures.
Negotiate prices with suppliers via email and telephone while ensuring the required product quality standards are maintained.
Prepare Comparative Statements (CS) in Oracle ERP (Fusion Cloud) by collecting and analyzing quotations from different suppliers.
Prepare Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders (WOs), and contracts, such as Contract Purchase Agreements (CPAs), in Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Cloud. Follow up on timely delivery, payments, and GRN/inventory processing.
Issue Purchase Orders to suppliers against approved Proforma Invoices (PIs).
Coordinate LC procedures and maintain regular follow-up with the LC team.
Submit all required documents to the LC department for opening Letters of Credit.
Upon receipt of the LC from the concerned department, share it with the beneficiary supplier.
Arrange local bills and prepare supporting documents for submission to the Accounts Department for payment processing.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
B.Sc. in Chemistry/Textile Engineer’s.
