Job Description / Responsibility

Job Context:
The Tyre Technician/Operator is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of tires for vehicles and machinery, ensuring safety standards and performance efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot tyre-related issues for various vehicles.
Job Responsibilities:
Mount and dismount tyres on vehicles using specialized machinery.
Balance tyres to ensure proper alignment and wear. Install new tyres on trucks, buses, heavy equipment, and other vehicles.
Perform routine checks for tread depth, air pressure, and valve conditions. Rotate tyres as necessary to maximize lifespan.
Ensure proper disposal of old or damaged tyres in an environmentally responsible manner. Diagnose and repair punctures or other tyre damage.
Patch and plug tyres when necessary. Re-torque lug nuts and ensure wheel alignment post-repair. Ensure all tyre-related repairs comply with safety regulations.
Advise on tyre selection based on vehicle specifications and intended usage. Maintain records of services performed and inspections conducted.
Operate and maintain tyre-related machinery (balancers, inflation tools, jacks, etc.).Keep all tools and work areas organized and in proper working condition.
Report any faulty equipment to the supervisor immediately. Assist with inventory control for tyre stocks, including ordering replacements when necessary.
Monitor the availability of repair kits, balancing weights, valves, etc. Communicate with customers regarding tyre issues, repairs needed, and potential safety concerns.
Provide recommendations on tyre brands, sizes, and maintenance plans.

Educational Requirements

Secondary
Higher Secondary
Diploma

Experience Requirements

At least 4 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Tyre manufacturer

Additional Job Requirements

Age At least 23 years
Proficiency in tyre balancing, installation, and repair techniques.
Knowledge of various tyre brands, sizes, and types.
Ability to use tyre repair and balancing equipment.
