Job Description / Responsibility

A Cruise Line Sailor (also called a deck crew member, ordinary seaman, or able seaman depending on rank and experience) is responsible for helping operate, maintain, and ensure the safety of a cruise ship.
Main Responsibilities
Deck Operations
Assist with mooring and unmooring the ship at ports.
Handle ropes, lines, anchors, and related equipment.
Help with cargo, luggage, and supply operations when required.
Maintenance
Clean, paint, and maintain decks and ship structures.
Inspect and maintain safety equipment.
Report damage, defects, or hazards to supervisors.

Educational Requirements

Experience Requirements

3 to 5 years
