Job Description / Responsibility
- Graphic Solution Limited (GSL), a part of Rhythm Group, is launching dedicated Solar EPC and Distribution Division. We are the exclusive authorized distributor of Koenig & Bauer AG in Bangladesh. This gives us a direct supply-chain advantage that no other EPC company in Bangladesh currently possesses.
- We're building this division from the ground up and are looking for a Senior Solar Engineer who has done it before someone who understands both the engineering and commercial sides of solar, can walk into a factory, design a system, present the ROI, and close the deal.
- ABOUT THE ROLE
- This is a true end-to-end position, not just design, not just sales.
- You will own the full project lifecycle, from lead generation and technical design through commercial closing, installation oversight, regulatory approvals, and final client handover.
- You will work directly with the Chairman and senior leadership, backed by Rhythm Group's financial strength and a network of 200+ active industrial clients.
- WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Technical Design & Engineering
- Conduct complete site surveys, including roof assessment, load analysis, shading evaluation, and grid feasibility studies
- Design solar PV systems using PVSyst, including panel layouts, inverter sizing, cable sizing, and energy-yield simulations
- Prepare complete Bills of Materials (BOM) for all projects
- Lead projects from concept through engineering optimization and execution
- Ensure compliance with IEC standards, SREDA regulations, and BPDB/DESCO net-metering requirements
- Business Development
- Generate leads and develop new rooftop solar projects across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors
- Visit customer sites, assess requirements, and propose tailored solutions
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Follow up on B2B sales opportunities and close deals with industrial clients
- Commercial & Financial Analysis
- Develop project quotations and financial proposals
- Perform CapEx and OpEx analysis, including ROI, payback period, and LCOE calculations
- Lead technical and commercial discussions from initial contact through contract signing
- Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and client presentations
- Develop customized solutions aligned with client objectives and budgets
- Project Delivery & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage project execution from signed contract through procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover
- Submit and manage SREDA, BPDB, and DESCO net-metering applications
- Oversee installation quality and ensure commissioning standards are achieved
- Prepare commissioning reports, warranty documentation, and O&M handover packages.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Solar Energy, Electric Wire/Cable, Battery, Storage cell
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 35 to 50 years
- Only Male
- 5–7+ years of hands-on Solar EPC experience in Bangladesh
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end C&I rooftop solar projects
- Strong proficiency in PVSyst (or equivalent software) and independent BOM preparation
- Experience obtaining BPDB and/or DESCO net-metering approvals
- Demonstrated success in commercially closing solar projects with industrial clients
- Strong understanding of CapEx/OpEx modelling and ROI-based client presentations
- Working knowledge of solar panel import procedures, including LC processes, BSTI certification, HS codes, and SREDA approvals
