Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context
- Vista Migration and Education Services is looking for an experienced Visa & Migration Counsellor for our Bangladesh office in Mirpur-1, Dhaka.
- The candidate must have experience counselling clients face-to-face and over the phone regarding Australian migration, skilled migration, skills assessment, work visa, partner visa, visitor visa, and other visa-related matters.
- This is not a general student counselling role. The main focus of this position will be Australian Skilled Migration, Skills Assessment, client eligibility screening, consultation booking, document follow-up, and migration client support.
- The selected candidate will work closely with an Australian Registered Migration Agent.
- Working Days & Hours
- Saturday to Thursday
- 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Working days may vary depending on business requirements.
- Job Responsibilities
- Counsel clients regarding Australian Skilled Migration, Skills Assessment, work visa, partner visa, visitor visa, family visa, and other migration pathways.
- Handle client inquiries face-to-face, over the phone, by WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Collect client information, including education, employment history, English test result, occupation, visa history, refusal history, and migration goals.
- Assist with initial eligibility screening for Skilled Migration pathways, including subclass 189, 190, and 491.
- Assist with Skilled Migration points-related information gathering.
- Assist clients with Australian skills assessment document preparation.
- Support skills assessment matters for authorities such as Engineers Australia, ACS, VETASSESS, TRA, AITSL, ANMAC, CPA, CA, IPA, and other relevant assessing bodies.
- Prepare client notes, document checklists, eligibility summaries, and follow-up records for review by the Registered Migration Agent.
- Follow up with prospective clients and convert genuine inquiries into consultations or service matters.
- Maintain client records, CRM updates, document tracking, and follow-up schedules.
- Monitor general Australian migration, skilled migration, state nomination, and skills assessment updates.
- Follow instructions from the Registered Migration Agent and maintain client confidentiality at all times.

- Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in visa counselling, migration counselling, and skilled migration support, skills assessment documentation, overseas career counselling, or similar work.
- Previous experience with Australian Skilled Migration and skills assessment matters will be highly preferred.
- Must have experience consulting clients face-to-face and over the phone.
- Experience with Engineers Australia, ACS, VETASSESS, TRA, AITSL, ANMAC, CPA, CA, IPA, or similar assessing authorities will be an advantage.
- Candidates with only student counselling experience may be considered only if they have strong migration and skills assessment knowledge.
- Additional Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong Bangla communication and client-handling skills.
- Good understanding of Australian Skilled Migration pathways.
- Knowledge of Australian skills assessment requirements will be highly preferred.
- Strong follow-up, sales, and client conversion ability.
- Ability to understand employment documents, job descriptions, reference letters, payslips, academic documents, English test results, and professional documents.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, PDF tools, CRM, and online forms.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and document requests.
- Professional, honest, reliable, and client-focused.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under supervision.
