Job Description / Responsibility

Oversee day-to-day operations of the sample floor – planning, workflow, and team coordination.
Ensure all samples are delivered on time, meeting buyer standards and technical requirements.
Work closely with buyers and internal teams to understand tech packs and construction details.
Provide technical solutions to sampling issues – pattern, fit, or construction-related.
Supervise pattern development and fitting – both on mannequins and live models.
Use software like Lectra, Gerber, or CLO 3D for digital pattern making and virtual samples.
Lead a team of tailors, pattern makers, and fit technicians – training and mentoring where needed.
Maintain clear records of sample iterations, comments, and approvals.
Work with merchandising and production teams to ensure a smooth handover from sample to bulk.
Stay updated with new sampling techniques, materials, and market trends.
Handle multiple buyer accounts and adapt to varied sampling expectations.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology,BGMEA University of Fashion Technology,Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology,Primeasia University students will get preference

Experience Requirements

12 to 15 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile

Additional Job Requirements

Age At least 33 years
Experience: 12–15+ years in garment sampling, preferably in export-oriented factories.
Pattern Knowledge: Strong in manual and digital pattern making.
Software: Understands Lectra/Gerber, and/or CLO 3D.
Communication: Clear and effective communicator with internal and external teams.
Fit & Construction: Deep understanding of garment construction and fit adjustments.
Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate a diverse technical team.
Problem Solving: Strong decision-making skills in real-time production situations.
