Job Description / Responsibility
- Erfan Group is looking for a highly experienced, technically sound, and value-driven Deputy Manager, Construction to lead the planning, execution, governance, and delivery of multiple apartment and commercial building projects. The role will oversee construction activities from structural works through finishing, ensuring timely handover, regulatory compliance, superior quality, safety, cost control and alignment with Erfan Group internal policies and core values. - Capable of guiding and coordination of different activities of the construction projects and make the team work effective and successful.
- Supervise construction & maintenance activities at the construction projects and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards following construction checklist.
- Quality control, cost control and time management & ensure safety, security, and cleanness Coordinating with all the relevant departments to ensure smooth operation.
- Prepare the BOQ, schedule the project in logical steps and prepare budget, time required to meet deadline.
- Documentation and periodical reporting and capable of solving all technical and managerial problems at project Participate in project meetings with site engineer, sub-contractors, and other engineering related personnel.
- Perform in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and facilities.
- To manage & control maintenance tools, engineering stores and equipment.
- Ensure compliance of civil construction with the relevant codes and standards (Municipality, PWD etc.) in accordance with the technical specifications, the contract, local applicable laws, safety & security on behalf of the company.
- Participate in civil engineering related office meetings with Executive Director and other higher management personnel.
- Ability to prepare construction related minor structural drawing.
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs. Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
- Raise purchase requisition & follow-up with purchase Dept. for materials after proper estimation.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress report with photograph & email top management.
- To identify structural defects & quickly take initiate to rectify the structure.
- Periodic structural inspection (PSI)/monthly report check & recommend for the rectification for management approval.
- Any other task assign by the management.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 14 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Auto Rice Mill, Building & Construction Materials, Developer, Real Estate
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 40 to 50 years
- Strong knowledge of industrial construction, structural works, and factory maintenance systems.
- Understanding of BNBC, RSC/NIRAPON, fire & structural safety compliance standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, structural designs, and BOQ.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of utility-related civil works will be an added advantage.
