Job Description / Responsibility
- JOB CONTEXT:
- BOROPOOL LTD is looking for a self-driven Video Editor who can independently own the full video production workflow — from receiving raw footage to delivering publish-ready content. This role sits at the heart of our digital content strategy, covering YouTube, short-form social media, and branded promotional material. You will work autonomously, managing your own pipeline while staying aligned with the company's creative vision and content calendar.
- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- YouTube — Long-form
- Edit long-form YouTube videos (vlogs, tutorials, reviews, documentary-style content) from raw footage to final cut
- Structure videos for maximum retention — pacing, cuts, B-roll placement, and storytelling flow
- Add subtitles/captions, lower thirds, intros, outros, and chapter markers
- Optimize exports for YouTube's recommended settings (resolution, bitrate, aspect ratio)
- Design or coordinate eye-catching YouTube thumbnails
- Short-form — Reels, Shorts & TikTok
- Repurpose long-form content into short vertical clips for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok
- Create fast-paced, trend-aware edits with hooks, captions, and sound design suited for each platform
- Stay updated on current short-form trends, audio trends, and editing styles
- Produce original short-form content from brief to final delivery
- Product & Brand Promotions
- Edit product showcase videos, brand films, and promotional ads for BOROPOOL LTD
- Maintain brand consistency — color grading, tone, fonts, and logo usage across all promotional content
- Incorporate motion graphics, product close-ups, and call-to-action overlays
- Adapt promotional videos for different formats (landscape, square, vertical) and platforms
- Workflow & Ownership
- Independently manage the full editing pipeline — file organization, versioning, export, and delivery
- Follow the content calendar and meet publishing deadlines without constant supervision
- Proactively communicate progress, blockers, or creative suggestions to management
- Archive and manage all video assets in an organized file system

Experience Requirements
- 1 to 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Advertising Agency, Educational Technology (Edtech) Startup, Immigration and Education Consultancy Service, Immigration/Visa Processing, IT Enabled Service, Manpower Recruitment, Online Newspaper/ News Portal, Web Media/Blog, Professional Photographers, Online Streaming Startup

Additional Job Requirements
- Age 18 to 22 years
- Software & Tools:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve is required
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics is preferred
- Familiarity with CapCut, VN Editor, or similar mobile editing tools is a plus
- Basic Photoshop or Canva skills for thumbnail creation
- Platform Knowledge:
- Good understanding of YouTube content structure — hooks, retention, chapters, and CTAs
- Awareness of short-form trends on Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok
- Knowledge of platform-specific export formats, aspect ratios, and resolution standards
- Personal Qualities:
- Self-motivated and able to manage the full editing workflow independently
- Strong attention to detail in pacing, color, audio sync, and visual consistency
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Willingness to take creative initiative and propose new ideas proactively
- Open to feedback and quick to implement revisions
- Portfolio:
- A demo reel or portfolio link (YouTube, Google Drive, or Behance) is mandatory
- Samples should include at least one long-form and one short-form edited piece
