Job Description / Responsibility
- Supervise and manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and SOPs for mechanical systems.
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians across shifts.
- Train and guide team members on machine handling, safety procedures, and maintenance techniques.
- Allocate resources efficiently and ensure adequate manpower planning.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of new machinery or mechanical systems.
- Ensure mechanical systems are aligned with production layout and safety standards.
- Maintain an updated inventory of critical spare parts and consumables.
- Coordinate with purchase/procurement team for timely procurement of spares.
- Reduce unnecessary inventory while ensuring availability during breakdowns.
- Implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency in mechanical systems.
- Analyze maintenance costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Reduce machine downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety standards.
- Conduct safety audits of mechanical equipment and rectify issues proactively.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to senior management on machine performance, breakdown analysis, and project progress.
- Lead factory expansion or upgrade projects involving mechanical systems.
- Prepare project plans, budgets, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and production departments for cross-functional execution.
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- At least 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Packaging Industry, Plastic/ Polymer Industry
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 25 to 40 years
- Only Male
- Must have to stay near the workplace.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing machinery and their Mechanical requirements.
- Expertise in mechanical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering.
- Proactive and result-oriented mindset.
- Capable of handling critical situations.
- Good communication skills in both Bengali and English
