Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Overview:
- The MCCHS Ltd. is inviting applications for the position of Senior Architect / Architect to lead and oversee architectural design functions for its development and housing projects. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering innovative, functional, and regulation-compliant design solutions that align with project goals and organizational standards. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality architectural outcomes from concept through completion.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative and sustainable architectural concepts aligned with project goals and company objectives.
- Create detailed architectural drawings, blueprints, and 3D models using industry-standard software.
- Lead and manage architectural projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Refine and evolve designs across all project stages, considering function, aesthetics, space utilization, and user experience.
- Collaborate with design teams, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and project success.
- Effectively communicate design concepts and specifications through presentations, meetings, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), zoning laws, and accessibility standards.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant regulatory authorities.
- Research and recommend appropriate materials, specifications, finishes, and construction methods in line with design intent, budget, and sustainability.
- Manage project budgets, including cost tracking and financial reporting.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with architectural plans.
- Integrate sustainable design practices to improve energy performance and environmental impact.
- Prepare architectural documentation, including detailed drawings, technical specifications, and project progress reports.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation compliance. Identify design and construction risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays.
- Conduct post-construction evaluations to assess performance and recommend improvements.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Architecture (M.Arch)
- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
- I.A.B. (Institute of Architects Bangladesh) Membership is mandatory.
Experience Requirements
- At least 6 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Architecture Firm, Real Estate, Developer
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 26 years
- Valid I.A.B. (Institute of Architects Bangladesh) Membership is mandatory.
- 6-8 years of experience in architectural design (10–12 years for the Senior Architect role), including project management experience.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling tools.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design and technical skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain concepts to both clients and team members.
