Job Description / Responsibility

KL DESIGN GROUP is a leading garment sourcing and manufacturing company with over 22 years of experience, working with renowned international brands across Europe, UK, Australia, and USA. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Product Development Merchandiser – Woven shirts and bottom Denim & Non-Denim.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle product development for woven denim and non-denim categories.
Coordinate with buyers, design teams, fabric mills, and factories from development to order confirmation.
Develop new fabrics, washes, trims, and garment concepts as per buyer requirements.
Follow up on sampling, SMS, PP samples, fittings, and approvals.
Source fabrics and trims locally and internationally.
Prepare costing, consumption, and development status reports.
Maintain strong communication with buyers regarding developments, lead times, and technical details.
Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure smooth execution.
Monitor market trends, fashion developments, and new wash techniques.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering, Fashion Designing
Graduate in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising, or related field.

Experience Requirements

3 to 5 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

Additional Job Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in woven denim and non-denim product development merchandising.
Strong knowledge of fabrics, washing, garment construction, and product development.
Experience working with European or UK buyers will be an advantage.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple developments.
Strong follow-up and problem-solving capability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and merchandising systems.
