Job Description / Responsibility
- Prepare and verify all export commercial documentation.
- Ensure accuracy of Bills of Lading and other shipping documents; collect originals as needed.
- Liaise with buyers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and C&F agents for timely shipments.
- Process import documentation, LC opening, amendments, and settlement with banks under Bangladesh Bank import policy.
- Coordinate customs clearance and release of imported raw materials, trims, and machinery parts.
- Maintain accurate records of import costs, duties, and taxes for commercial reporting.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure on-time delivery of imports.
- Prepare periodic commercial reports and MIS on export/import status for management review.
- Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping of all export and import documents.
- Ensure data accuracy in ERP/commercial systems.
- Assist in internal/external audits related to commercial operations.
- Drive end-to-end import sourcing of agro feed raw materials.
- Global supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding.
- Negotiate commercial terms to maximize cost advantage and margin.
- Optimize landed cost through freight, duty, and logistics strategies.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply aligned with production or trading demand plans.
- Build strategic partnerships with international and regional vendors.
- Strengthen contract management and risk mitigation frameworks.
- Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh import and regulatory norms.
- Collaborate with Finance, QA, and Logistics for seamless execution.
- Monitor market intelligence to anticipate price and supply risks.
- Implement digital and process improvements in procurement workflows.
- Develop and mentor the sourcing team for high performance.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Agriculture
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Agriculture
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Poultry, Fisheries, Hatchery, Trading or Export/Import
