Job Description / Responsibility
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Commercial to lead the commercial operations of our textile manufacturing facility located inside the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (IEPZ). The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in handling commercial, export-import, and compliance functions within an IEPZ-regulated environment.
- About the Role:
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager – Commercial to lead the commercial operations of our textile manufacturing facility located inside the Ishordi Export Processing Zone (IEPZ). The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in handling commercial, export-import, and compliance functions within an EPZ-regulated environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire commercial department, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
- Manage export and import documentation, L/Cs, banking transactions, and shipping coordination.
- Ensure full compliance with EPZ regulations, customs, and bonded warehouse management.
- Maintain effective liaison with buyers, shipping agents, banks, EPZ officials, customs, and other regulatory bodies.
- Lead and mentor the commercial team to meet departmental goals and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal departments to streamline production, delivery, and order execution.
- Monitor and control commercial budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports to regulatory authorities and management.
Educational Requirements
- Masters
- Additional certifications in Export-Import, Commercial Law, or Supply Chain will be a plus.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Group of Companies, Textile
Additional Job Requirements
- Only Male
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in commercial operations within the textile/apparel industry, of which at least 5 years must be in an EPZ setting.
- In-depth knowledge of EPZ policies, customs procedures, and bonded warehouse operations.
- Proven experience in managing export-import documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of banking procedures related to L/Cs, back-to-back L/Cs, and foreign exchange.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and lead a team with efficiency and integrity.
