Job Description / Responsibility
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager – Lab Coloration to lead the coloration laboratory for both synthetic and cotton dyeing operations. The role requires strong technical knowledge of dyeing behavior, recipe development, shade matching, and process standardization to ensure the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in bulk dyeing.
- Oversee all lab coloration activities for synthetic and cotton fabrics, ensuring accurate shade development and dye recipe preparation.
- Conduct shade matching, recipe optimization, and lab-to-bulk correlation to minimize bulk re-dye and shade variation.
- Ensure timely preparation and approval of lab dips, pilot samples, and shade standards based on buyer requirements.
- Monitor dyestuff, chemicals, and auxiliaries to ensure correct selection for fabric type and process.
- Maintain and improve lab dyeing processes, SOPs, and standard shade libraries.
- Lead the calibration, maintenance, and performance of laboratory equipment (Data color, spectrophotometer etc.).
- Collaborate closely with bulk dyeing, R&D, and production teams for smooth lab-to-bulk implementation.
- Analyze shade variations, root causes, and take corrective actions to reduce shade mismatches.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and reproducibility of dyeing results.
- Prepare technical reports, performance data, and regularly update management.
- Provide training and guidance to lab technicians and subordinate staff to improve accuracy and technical capability.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
- Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Dyeing Factory
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 35 to 45 years
- Only Male
- Strong knowledge of reactive, disperse, VAT, and other dye classes.
- Expertise in shade matching, recipe formulation, and lab-to-bulk dyeing.
- Hands-on experience with spectrophotometer, color assessment cabinet, and lab dyeing machines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
