- To support our continued growth and operational expansion, we are seeking a highly competent, experienced, and dynamic professional to join our team as General Manager (GM).
- Position Summary
- The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall passenger and cargo GSA operations, including sales, marketing, airline coordination, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and team leadership. The role requires strong leadership, aviation industry expertise, and the ability to drive business growth while ensuring operational excellence.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Passenger and Cargo GSA operations in Bangladesh
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets
- Maintain strong relationships with airline principals, travel agencies, cargo agents, and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with airline policies and local aviation authority requirements
- Monitor operational performance, sales targets, and financial results
- Supervise and lead sales, reservation, ticketing, and cargo teams
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships
- Prepare and present operational and performance reports to senior management and airline principals
- Ensure high standards of customer service and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with airport authorities, ground handling agents, and regulatory bodies
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Marketing, or related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 7 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): College, Software Company, IT Enabled Service, BPO/ Data Entry Firm, Developer, Call Center, E-commerce, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Startup, Business-to-Business (B2B) Software and Services Startup, E-commerce Startup
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 35 to 50 years
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in airline, aviation, travel, or cargo industry
- Minimum 3–5 years in a senior management or leadership role
- Experience working with an Airline GSA, Airline, or Aviation organization is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of airline passenger and cargo operations
- Excellent proficiency in English and Bangla
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and airline systems (preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong business development and sales expertise
- Sound knowledge of airline reservation, ticketing, and cargo operations
- Ability to work under pressure and meet business targets
- Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills
- Strong professional network within the aviation and travel industry
