Job Description / Responsibility

- Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with BNBC, FSCD, buyer Codes of Conduct and local fire regulations Law
- Develop, implement, and update the Fire Safety Management System (FSMS)
- Coordinate with RSC & FSCD during inspections, audits, and follow-ups
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments in all factory areas (production, warehouse, utilities, dormitory if any)
- Identify fire hazards (electrical, chemical, mechanical, storage, hot work) and ensure corrective actions
- Ensure safe storage and handling of chemicals, dyes, solvents, and flammable materials
- Ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance of Fire alarm & detection system
- Fire hydrant, hose reel & sprinkler systems
- Fire extinguishers (correct type & placement)
- Emergency lighting & exit signage
- Monitor and ensure that the facility of fire Alarm, fire hydrant & fire pumps are adequate and are working properly.
- Ensure In-house fire training for Firefighters, Rescuers, new employees, and security personnel.
- Ensure monthly Fire & Emergency evacuation drills as per program to aware all workers & staff.
- Ensure firefighting training from Fire Service & Civil Defense authority.
- Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and evacuation procedures
- Form, train, and supervise Firefighting & Evacuation Teams
- Conduct regular fire drills (at least twice a year or buyer-required frequency)
- Lead emergency response during fire incidents and ensure safe evacuation
- Investigate fire incidents/near misses and submit incident investigation reports
- Perform a Training Need Analysis (TNA), train and educate staff on HSE&S topics to keep them informed of any legal changes and
- Should have a vast knowledge of fire safety management to ensure fire safety in the garments industry.
- Give monthly training to all employee on fire safety awareness.
- RSC Audit follow up
- Any other task assigns by management from time to time.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Educational qualification will be relaxed for highly experienced candidate.
- Graduate/Diploma in Engineering or Fire Safety (preferred)
Experience Requirements
- 6 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Dyeing Factory, Garments
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 32 to 42 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Garments & Textile.
- FSCD-recognized Fire Safety Training.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in RMG or industrial fire safety.
- Strong knowledge of BNBC, FSCD, RSC, buyer fire standards.
- Leadership, communication, and emergency handling skills.
- Positive professional attitude, self-motivated and team player.
