Job Description / Responsibility
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and oversee overall financial operations of the organization.
  • Prepare, review and present management accounts, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all financial reports.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity.
  • Review financial transactions through ERP systems on a regular basis.
  • Ensure full compliance with VAT, Tax and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Review and sign monthly VAT returns, source tax and VAT submissions.
  • Maintain regular communication with Tax, VAT and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage ongoing and pending VAT, Tax and SD-related litigations.
  • Liaise with banks and scrutinize foreign remittances, including Bangladesh Bank requirements.
  • Prepare annual Business Plan/Budget, monthly P&L, balance sheet forecasts and liquidity plans.
  • Strengthen and maintain internal financial control systems.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and review audited financial statements.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors and senior management to support business growth.
  • Oversee procurement, cost control and finance-related sub-functions.
  • Lead, train and develop finance team members.

Educational Requirements
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance
  • MBA in Accounting/Finance from a public university or a reputed private university with good academic records.
  • Professional certification CA (CC) / CMA / ACCA will be preferred.
  • Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
Experience Requirements
  • 3 to 7 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Satellite TV

Additional Job Requirements
  • Age 30 to 40 years
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • At least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role within the same or similar industry.
  • Experience in Television Channel / Media / Newspaper industry will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT, Tax Code and statutory regulations.
  • Practical experience in VAT, Tax, SD compliance and related litigation.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MICROS, Opera, SUN, SAP-BPC) preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and business partnering skills.
  • Knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Self-driven, proactive and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and team management skills.
