Job Description / Responsibility
- Position Summary:
- The Electrical Engineer will oversee the complete electrical integrity and performance of the company’s state-of-the-art pesticide formulation, packaging, and repackaging facility, ensuring reliable and efficient plant operations end to end.
- This includes ensuring maximum uptime of production machinery through proactive preventive maintenance (PM) and scheduled maintenance, as well as the robust operation of utility & other equipment and machinery (i.e. Generator, Boiler, ETP, WTP, Incinerator, production machinery,HVAC etc.). The role requires a strong focus on uninterrupted production management, safety, compliance & energy efficiency.
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Machinery & Production Line Maintenance (Electrical Aspects):
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting for all formulation machinery (mixers, agitators, emulsifiers) and repacking equipment (filling machines, capping machines, labeling machines, conveyor systems).
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), HMI panels, and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, including motor starters, DOL starters, Star-Delta starters, and sensors.
- Manage electrical safety in operation and maintenance, deploying Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and adhering to safety protocols.
- 2. Utility & Other Equipment Maintenance:
- Boilers: Maintenance of electrical control systems for industrial boilers (steam generation).
- Generator (DG Set): Maintenance of backup generators, including ATS panels, synchronization, and fuel system electricals.
- Incinerator: Maintenance of electrical systems for waste disposal incinerators, including burner controls and monitoring sensors.
- Other Utilities: Maintenance of air compressors, HVAC systems, and plant lighting.
- 3. Planning & Documentation:
- Develop, maintain, and update daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment repairs, spare parts inventory, and electrical consumption reports.
- Update electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams (SLD) for plant machinery.
- 4. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory:
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with local, state, and environmental safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), Fire Prevention Act & NFPA standards.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major equipment breakdowns to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire detection, alarm, sprinkler, hydrant, and extinguisher systems.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during high-voltage (HT) and low-voltage (LT) work.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology students will get preference
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Cosmetics/Toiletries/Personal Care, Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances, Industrial Machineries (Generator, Diesel Engine etc.), Chemical Industries, Pharmaceutical/Medicine Companies
Additional Job Requirements
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of industrial electrical panels, motors, VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, and HT/LT switchgear.
- Utility Knowledge: Proven experience with boiler controls, generators, etc.
- Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and familiarity with safety standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA, etc.).
- ISO: Capable of implementing ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 9001:2015 guidelines within the plant and handling relevant ISO audits and other regulatory inspections.
