Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context: The HR & Compliance Manager will lead the Human Resources and Social Compliance functions of the Factory, ensuring alignment with multinational corporate standards, international buyer compliance requirements, Bangladesh labor regulations, and sustainability commitments.
- Job Responsibilities
- Lead manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management systems
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, BNBC-2020, LEED requirements, and international social compliance standards
- Organize and manage various buyer/customer compliance audits including RSC, BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, ISO, OEKOTEX and buyer Code of Conduct programs
- Oversee employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and worker participation committees
- Coordinate employee welfare, sustainability engagement, IEQ-related HR practices, and green workplace initiatives
- Maintain HRMIS, payroll systems, compliance documentation, and audit-ready reporting
- Implement corporate HR policies aligned with multinational governance standards
- Work on safety guidelines for factory and warehouse workers to ensure safety at work
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
- Set Up HR-systems and processes at WBD factory in accordance with our global Group Standards
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- PGD in Compliance
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Garments Accessories
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 35 to 45 years
- Experience in multinational manufacturing environments will be preferred
- Experience working in LEED-certified or green factory environments will be an added advantage
- Professional certifications in Social Compliance, Sustainability, Labor Law, or LEED will be preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and present HR metrics to inform decision-making·
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Deep understanding of HR software and MS Office·
- Demonstrates strong leadership capability with a proactive approach to addressing HR matters and organizational challenges, confidently providing well-reasoned, independent perspectives that support the best interests of the company and factory operations.
- Experience Requirements
- 10–12 years of experience in HR & Compliance functions within manufacturing, garments, trims, or textile industries
- Proven experience handling international buyer audits
- Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law, social compliance standards, and compliance reporting systems
