Legal and Recovery Officer

Job Description / Responsibility

We are seeking a disciplined, field-experienced, and tactically sound Legal and Recovery Officer to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a background in the Army (minimum rank: Sergeant) or Police Service (SI/Inspector preferred), with proven experience in handling legal matters, conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance in high-pressure situations. The role entails managing the legal recovery process, initiating legal action, and conducting field operations to recover overdue payments or assets in a lawful and professional manner.
Prepare and file legal documents such as demand notices, lawsuits, and other court-related documents to initiate recovery proceedings.
Analyze outstanding debts and identify cases suitable for legal action, assessing the legal merit and preparing appropriate strategies.
Manage legal cases from initiation to resolution, including court schedules, deadlines, settlements, and case documentation.
Ensure legal actions are fully compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Locate and professionally negotiate with absconding borrowers to recover outstanding assets or dues.
Coordinate with police, civil administration, and legal representatives during high-risk or legally sensitive recovery operations.
Act as a liaison with local authorities (e.g., Thana, Civil Office, Union Parishad) to ensure legal compliance and community engagement during recovery operations.
Monitor overdue accounts and initiate timely recovery action plans.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bangla and basic English.

Additional Job Requirements

Age At most 48 years
Retired Army personnel (minimum rank: Sergeant) or retired Police Officer (Sub-Inspector/Inspector preferred).
Age: Preferably 42–48 years or below.
Minimum educational qualification: (HSE, Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Physically fit and mobile, with willingness to travel across Bangladesh. Proven experience in field operations, legal recovery, negotiation, or law enforcement.
Familiarity with debt recovery laws, civil procedures, contract law, and consumer protection regulations.
Communication and coordination ability with local administrative offices, law enforcement, and legal bodies.
Motorcycle driving license is Mandatory .
Must be able to handle challenging situations with integrity and professionalism.
