Job Description / Responsibility
- We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Laravel) to lead and stabilize the backend system of our high-traffic Android & iOS apps. This role requires strong backend architecture skills, performance optimization experience, and basic DevOps capability to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure production systems.
- Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs using Laravel.
- Own backend architecture, database schema, and overall system stability.
- Optimize API performance, database queries, and server resource usage.
- Design secure authentication, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention mechanisms.
- Integrate third-party services, Firebase, and Google Cloud services
- Monitor production issues and resolve critical backend & server-side bugs.
- Collaborate with mobile developers for API integration and feature delivery.
- Deploy and manage backend applications on Linux-based servers.
- Configure web server and runtime components (Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL).
- Handle basic server monitoring, logs, backups, and performance tuning.
- Manage staging and production environments to ensure deployment stability.

Additional Job Requirements
- Age 25 to 45 years
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Laravel is mandatory.
- Solid proficiency in MySQL and RESTful API design.
- Practical experience with Firebase, Revenuecat, and Google Cloud services.
- Strong understanding of database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with background jobs, queues, cache systems, and scheduled tasks.
- Familiarity with security best practices (authentication, rate-limiting, abuse prevention).
- Ability to debug, refactor, and improve existing or poorly performing backend systems.
- Working knowledge of Linux-based servers and production environments.
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
